how hard to swap these motors?
hi, i have a 86z with a 305 tpi,and i also have a 88 regular camaro,with a 2.8 mpfi, i was wanting to take the 305 put it into the 88 with the tpi and all, so just how hard and how long would you think this would take?? thanks.

That's pretty much a standard V6 to V8 swap, addressed many times on this board. Do a search.
It is involved, but if you have basic mechanical skills, a decent place to work on them side-by-side, and a few weeks to do it right, it isn't that hard.
What's wrong with the '86? Seems a step backwards to take a drivetrain out of a Z and put it into a plain-jane.

'66 396, 9.7 CR forged TRWs, Weiand Action+, Holley 750VS w/4150 conversion, GK 270 cam, Magnum rockers, Jacobs Omnipack, 1-3/4" Hedders & 3" Warlocks, TH400 w/TCI Sat Night Special conv & Trans-Scat shift kit, MegaShifter, 3.08 8.2" 10-bolt w/Powertrax, AMSOIL syn lubes bumper-to-bumper. Idles smooth @ 600 RPM in D. Best 15.02/95.06 @ 5800' Bandimere (corrected 13.93/102.4 @ sea level).
