I hope you don't have to worry about emissions testing or inspection. If so, you need to reconsider what you're doing.

The basic V8 install has been covered many times on this forum. Take a look through the topics for the last month or so to see what you've got ahead of you.

The non-CC part is fairly simple. You need a mechanical/vacuum advance distributor with the power and tach wires going to it (should be able to use the current wires), and whatever coil goes with the distributor you choose; if your carb has electric choke, you'll need an ignition switched power source for it (best to use something other than the ignition power wire to avoid any drain from it); if you keep the in-tank electric pump, the power/relays/oil pressure switches for it, a pressure regulator to drop the pressure to carb levels (5-7 psig) and the tubing to get it up to the carb; if you go mechanical pump, remove the in-tank pump and put a piece of fuel hose in its place, and route the tubing from the tank to the pump to the carb.

Other than that, the throttle/TV cables, alternator wiring, etc. to accomodate the change in length between the two engines/systems.
