please help (long)

ok i picked up an 85 z28 tpi with a blown motor so i installed a 305 carb motor hei out of a 1980 camaro took out the computer and hooked up all the basic wiring the car cranked and i got it to run for like 5 minutes turned it off turned the key again and nothing i have plenty of juice and there is power going to the distributor and starter let the car sit for like 10 minutes turn the key and she cranked turned it off hit the key and nothing again same thing over and over it will crank basically when it wants to also it had a viper alarm and i ripped that out i have a feeling it's under the dash somewhere anything particular i can check thanks

Bobby, not to be an *** or anything but if you want help, it makes it a LOT easier on us if you punctuate and make complete sentences. I tried to read your post but everything just kind of melted together into one long sentence.

So it will crank and fire sometimes. If you shut it off and try to start it again immediately, it won't start? But if you wait a while and then try to start it, it will start? It also had a Viper alarm that you ripped out?

Lol Sorry but i am starting to go nuts with this car.
it will fire like 5 or six times then when i hit the key again i get no response but plenty of juice.this is what i checked so far.
there is juice running to the dist. starter alt and everything else in the engine,pulled out thee nutral saftey harness,and pulled out the key switch.

i have not gone to the car yet but i bet when i get to it she will crank then die out again
