383 Questions
OK. I searched, but just wanted to clear up a few things about what is necceassary for going from a 350 to 383. This will be a carbed application.
As far as I can tell, I need the block clearanced, a 400 crank, a 400 flexplate, and a new starter. Am I missing anything? What kind of starter is necceassary? Also, what about the fuel system. This was originally an LG4 car. Do the fuel lines need upgraded? What kind of fuel pump? Can I stay mechanical or should I go electric? Also, give me suggestions on quality parts to use. Thanks guys.

You can use a 400 crank but if you dont have one already buy an aftermarket crank. They are already built to fit the journals on the 350. I used a Summit stroker kit and didn't have any clearance problems. I didn't even have to clearance the block.
Yes you can use a mechanical fuel pump. Upgrading fuel lines isn't 100% necessary but not a bad idea.
