I can get a hold of an LS1 motor cheap with wiring harness, and I was wondering if someone that has done this before can e-mail me at berman8or@aol.com to discuss it.

totally different.no motor mounts, doesn't need a fuel return line(has variable pump),too many things different to contemplate.if you wanna make the same power get a good 400 build it and slap some sb2 heads on it.

I have done it. I would say check out my web site but I think the server is down.

1987 IROC-Z Screaming Yellow.
Mods: 1998 LS1 with six speed, many more...
You can see the project at: http://bradkiel.fbody.com/
this is not the best pic, my web site has plenty of pics. I hope the server gets up and running.

13.242 @ 105.3 with a 2.09 60' for a mostly stock LS1 and 6 speed.
