Can't get rid of surge!
Hey everyone,
I did the 305-350 swap in my 88 GMC van. I've changed the injectors, knock sensor, esc, computer, map, o2, tps, battery, distributor, tbi gasket, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, and wires. I have 202 heads and a mild cam I believe it is the iroc cam or rv cam. Its running lean and it still surges. All my mechanic friends are scratching their heads. I was told that the valves were too tight. But I only feel the surge at low rpms (Not all the way through). So before I adjust the valves Im going to the change the coolant temp sensor and pcv. I'm running out of money and patience! I also have a 700r tranny with a stall. I believe its at 2200. Should I try an iroc computer since I have an iroc cam? What do ya think?
