Swirl Port Heads

Engine: v6
Transmission: 5spd.
Swirl Port Heads
Just aquired 350(1988 model). Engine has swirl port heads,are these heads ok for mild cam,intake,headers,etc. or should I throw them away and use an older set of heads that I have(1976)? Buying aftermarket heads is out of the question as this is not a race engine,just want a good street performer.

Mild cam, matching intake, headers, they'll be fine. Much better than 70's vintage factory heads.

i'm running the L05 heads on my s10 with a summit 1102 cam, performer intake, and holley vac secondary carb and its very torquey. i like it.
