305 LB9 to 350 L05 (TPI)
Hey guys, last summer I swapped my oil burning stock 305 for a 60,000mile 350 LO5. I threw the comp cams Xfi268(decently large cam) into this motor and kept the TPI intake...along with the terribe stock swirl port heads.
Recently I've been trying to tune this motor using TunerProRT and burning chips. Basically its very lean even at idle and God forbid I drive around, the knock counts skyrocket. I don't want to blow up the motor, but I want to get it driveable. I'm afraid the 19lb injectors are way to small for this aplication.
Can anyone recommend the upgrades I should do first to get this car driveable and safe? I'll probably purchase ford SVO 24lb injectors and tune with those, is this a good idea?
Also I should get new heads with 1.6 rockers to complement this xfi268 cam. Any recommendations on decent priced heads?(AFR 195s are great but expensive). Should I do a fuel pump upgrade? I've got an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Any and all recommendations are appreciated, thanks guys!
