Hey everyone I am looking for some info. I have been looking for a new power plant with my 87 and found a wrecked 97 blazer. Just frame and front end damage. Still runs and drives. How much work would it be to swap the motor and trans to my 87. I have a general idea of the work involved, just really would like to hear from some people that may have swaped this before. O and yes I would like more power but not building it for racing or anything. I daily drive the car and am restoring it. Also forgive me if this is a repeat thread.

 

If you do a search on "4.3" on this forum, you should have your answers.

If the Blazer is 4WD, forget using the transmission.
