so i finally got back to building my sbc so far i have
a 010 4 bolt main block 400 crank turned to 350 spec blancer and flywheel.
heads: 64cc chambers manley stainless 2.02 valves fully ported and polished (still need springs and retainers)

i am going to start ordering parts asap.

pistons
springs
intake
carb

whats a good cam shaft for a 383???
are the gm powered metal rods any good for power??
any one got any pics of there single turbo set up?? i was lookin in the the xs-power single headders.

answers are. What kind of cam do you want to run? Roller or flat tappet? Solid or hydraulic? Generally with power adders the ticket is a wide LSA. In the neighbourhood of 114º.
No, powdered metal rods are not good for hipo builds.

 

well non roller and maybe solid or hydro what ever works. yea i am going to order some scat rods.. main deal is i dont want clearence problems and i want a good idle
