305 TBI swap for ZZ4 or Ram Jet 350
I've got a 92' Formula with a 305 tbi but i'm swapping for a crate 350 , An ls1 isn't out of the question but i would much rather go back to the tpi system like my 88 iroc has or possibly get a carburated motor. Anyone have any thoughts as to which system would be better, I can't make up my mind on this subject.

Well, the LS1 system would be the better of all of those, of course.
The ZZ4 is a pretty good engine. But, for the price, you can swap in an LS1.
The Ram Jet is open loop, and not friendly to retuning should you want to upgrade anything. I've Arizona Speed & Marine will reprogram for you, though.
Carbureted is probably fine for a drag only car, but not the best for a driver.

I agree with the ls1 being the best option, it just seems like a very big project from all of the threads i've read. It's probably the route i'm going to end up going but i didn't want to rule out other options either.

My first one was a biting off a big chunk, and took me a lot of time. I expect to be better organized for the 2nd one, won't be as involved (not swapping from auto to manual tranny, for one thing, and not converting to another suspension or brake system, either). Although not my daily driver, I don't expect to be down nearly as long (like 1/8th the time).
