The new direct injection PCMs havent been decoded yet, so you'd be swapping ALL of the 2010 wiring, modules and related in with it trying to fool the computers that you have a 2010 instead of a 3rd gen

For that trouble, go LSx

while I like my 3.6L (non-DI) in my G8, pocket's right. the time and effort and research and money to get it to maybe work would be better spent toward a gen III/IV LSx swap

I'm waiting for the PCM to be cracked too. And for prices to come down. While the power potential is not the same, the weight loss isn't something you can do with a V8, which is what I want. The 3.6L V6 is significantly lighter than the LT1 I have now and makes roughly the same power levels.

I know, its blasphemy, someone wanting to dump their v8 for a v6. I'm not unhappy with my LT1, and I don't think I'd be unhappy with a LSx motor, but I still wouldn't be able to get it as light as I would with the v6.

Im all for a big healthy V8 swap, but modern engines are advancing by leaps and bounds every year. I wouldnt be ashamed of owning a 300some HP V6

Appreaciate all the feed back guys, first time i ever posted.I sold my 84 last year and bought a mustang.yea yea yea i know, but at the time I wanted a new camaro.I went to 5 dealers looking for a camaro, they had them for 5000 dollars over sticker.I told the last salesman that I was going to buy a mustang out of spite,so i did.Its funny but I don't see the ford dealers gouging aroung here with the 2011's?Go figure, anyway I am looking around now for an iroc.I want back in the game!
