Help with a 327 combo street/strip
Re: Help with a 327 combo street/strip
I have a 1991 GMC 1/2 ton step side with a 68,327 bored .040,flat top pistons, ex268 CompCam, Elderbroc RPM intake, comp roller tip 1.5 rockers, elderbroc 1405 man. Choke 600 ci. 291-194/150 camel hump heads w/3 angle valve job, 373 rear end, 5 spd. transmission, HEI distributor, 10:1 compression, Very fun to drive can turn 6000 all day. Smoked plenty of so called bad *** 350. Don't let anyone say a 327 ain't no good. Done right, it will be the best engine you'll have put in that 86 camaro. When I bought it, it was bored .030, it had a knock. I drove it for 3 years. When I brought it to get redone, A crank lobe had been worn down 1/4". the mechanic said those 327 are hard to kill. I think your combo would be good enough.
