The 383 stroker crate engines
Does blueprint make a TPI compatible 383 engine?? If so does anyone have the info and/or link to the P#/specs?
Thanks.
PS- If so, would it be better to use a turbo 400 instead of the 700r4?
Thanks.

Re: The 383 stroker crate engines
There were at least 4 engines. I read that a couple engines were non EGR. Another engine was generation 1. I am not sure if any of that matters to add my 1990 TPI from my stock 5.7. Does a vortec head work with my TPI? I thought vortec heads were for the 1996 and up engines... I'm kinda confused. Please help. Thanks!

Non-EGR most likely means that the heads don't have exhaust crossovers. This is only a problem if you want to keep your EGR working. Your 1990 5.7 is a Generation I SBC, so no problems there. Vortec heads are for Generation I blocks, but won't fit your TPI unless you use a Vortec TPI base.
