Engine: 305 V8/2.8 V6
Transmission: Turbo 350/Stock
Axle/Gears: Stock/Stock
305 to 350 engine swap

Hey guys im doing a 305 to 350 swap and i was wondering what would be the best thing to do because i can buy a used 350 and a R400 tranny for $599 would it be best to buy them and rebuld them or buy all new parts.. the used engine and tranny only have 55,000 miles

I'm not sure what you mean by R400 ---did you mean 700R4?

I'm not that experienced but 599 is a great deal especially if everything is in decent shape. Also it depends on what your looking to get out of the set-up. Is the 350 just the block or the whole sha-bang?

You can buy a rebuild kit for less than 500 dollars...all in all i think you can have a pretty stout 350 for less than 1500 and including the trans i think its a deal.

yea sorry i did mean 700r4 ... yea the engine its complete comes with everything ... im trying to turn my car into street/strip car and everyone ive talked to near me said that the 383 would do the trick and i found that 350 so i going to go with that... what would be the best rebuild kit because i am planning on throwing a blower on in the future
