I know this has been talked about a lot but i need my questions to be answered so i have a good understanding on what im in for. I bougnt my 1991 camaro with a 700r4 tranny and 305 tpi engine, after the first year having it the engine just died and i couldnt find the problem. I recentily bought a 350 engine that was carb'd and said to have 14,000 miles on it but hard to believe that. Anyways I just ordered the parts that i need like the intake, water pump, and i boght pulleys for some more power. I am for sure keeping this engine carb for awhile and it will be dropped in as a carb engine, what exactly do i need to make this engine work and run good in my car and hook up to my tranny and work good with that? I also believe my engine was a 1 piece rear main seal and this engine is a 2 piece rear main seal. I need to know that parts needed to make this swap work and what i will have to do with the wiring harness because a friend of mine did a swap with the same exact engine except his original was a manual and he swapped to a auto and his whole harness changed so he bought a PLUG AND PLAY harness and he ended up modding that because it wasnt a plug and play so i need detail by detail. Thanks, I have a question. I just realized that they had a rebuilt 700r4 tranny connected to the carb engine. Will my 700r4 fit to it as well?
