I've read some pretty bad things about Blueprint. Do a search and you will find some stuff about them.

Re: Blueprint engines??

Old saying goes you get what you pay for. I would build one if it were me 300hp isnt hard at all to achieve a decient set of heads will get you real close on a stock 350. you can find 350 block cheap too at wrecking yards. then a rebuild kit for a 350 is around $400 or so then a set of summit brand heads arounf $600 and shoot man you dang near there and you know what you got cause you built it.....thats just me though I have never personaly bought a crate engine

Re: Blueprint engines??

Thanks Orange... I don't have the knowledge to be a mechanic much less build one that's why I'm out searching but it sounds like to me that it shouldn't be that expensive.

Re: Blueprint engines??

Count another to the screwed column by this company. 383 crate with 3500 miles broke a rod. Claim denied due to " lack of lubrication" and they want me to pay freight to have engine sent back to me.

Blueprint engines is used by many of the big automotive tv shows on velocity and even hotrod tv and the road kill guys from hotrod magazine. They get great reviews from them and I'm running a 383 built by them and it runs great.

Yes, you can buy the engine with out the intake on it and bolt your intake and cross fire injection system on it, but the cross fire injection system is not going to support much more than a stock engine.

Re: Blueprint engines??

Looking through my latest jegs catalog and for the life of me I don't see how a blue print 355 sbc (BP35511CT1) rated at 310 hp and 360 ft.lbs tq. and their 383 (BP3832CT1) with exact same output and identical specs(other than the extra cubes and extra $300). Anyone ever catch this. Any gear head has to scratch their head on this one.

Couple of years ago.
Since we're in europe we just chalked it up as another example of overpriced pos syuff companies sell. Completely redid the engine and no problems so far
