measurements for a v6 to a v8 swap

Hey iv taken out my 2.8 v6 from my 1989 pontiac firebird and I'm puting in a 305 v8 but there are no motor mount holes on the crossmember for the v8. So I was hoping someone would have the measurments I need to drill the holes for the v8 motor mounts and would be willing to pass them on to me?

They should be there - I'm pretty sure all the crossmembers are the same, and all got punched for either motor - I can't imagine that an automated plant would set up double the machining tools when there is no need. Look again, should be forward of the V6 holes no more than a few inches. Probably filled with undercoating, road grime, etc.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Look in the "V6 to V8 swap" sticky in the top section of this forum. There is a picture of the V8 mounts on a stock crossmember. The bolt holes you need are there.
