Vortec top end swap or lt1/t56 PLEASE read and give opinions costs etc etc thanks...
I have an 85' L69 iroc with a t-5. I like how the car performs now but the carb smell and fuel consumption is epic for a daily driver in this miami heat. So im debating on swapping the whole motor to an lt1/t56 or swapping the top end of my 305 to a vortec fuel injected setup like the top end of a stock 98 ish silverado I guess heads, intake, injectors, computer (IF IT IS POSSIBLE). Im leaning towards the top end swap simply because I heard vortecs make decent power and the day i decide to sell the car i can simply swap the heads and mani back on and have my original l-69 car. Can anyone wave the pro's and con's of each? Thanks.
