You can bolt in the long block with your TPI stuff, but you will need the 350 injectors and a tune to do it (can't use the '89 "chip" - it's MAF).
If you get the entire TPI set-up including harness, sensors, and ECM, you can bolt that into your car (after changing the oil pan and pump). It won't technically be emissions legal, though.

To keep the "new" tranny, if you have a 700R4 & the new one is is 700R4, just swap the tailhousings out. If they are the same length, you can even just reuse your driveshaft.

Re: TPI 305 Camaro to a TPI 350 corvette HELP
(Could even remote mount the MAP sensor( like on trucks ) in which case Vette engine could go straight in without taking the intake off
Need a 350 SD memcal (chip ) to replace the 305 one in your existing computer and a 350 SD knock sensor to go with the 350 injectors mentioned above.
No rewiring / computer change needed
NB
The Vette '165 ECM will have VATS enabled so you would have to get a custom chip with VATS disabled anyway if you converted to the Vette MAF setup using the Vette wiring and computer

Re: TPI 305 Camaro to a TPI 350 corvette HELP
OK, just found out this 350 engine is actually from a 1985 corvette with TPI not a 1989 like i thought, is thier any diffrence? Im still planning on taking the long block from the vette and just bolting all my TPI stuff on it, will I have an issue or are all L98 long blocks pretty much the same, I know that 85 did have a TPI on it, a two piece rear main seal, forged pistons and the valve covers are not centerbolt. i just ordered a cam and headders, please let me know if i should return them befor they get installed... Thanks

85 has flat tappet cam ; not a roller cam like installed in the '89 and 91
What headers ?
89 Vette had alum heads with a D port exhaust

It's all usable.
The '85 ECM wasn't so good, but I believe you can plug in an '86-'88 ECM with no problems. It is MAF like the '89, but has a 9th "cold start" injector that was deleted in '89 (and speed density started in '90).
