Where do I find engine mounts to get a sbc to mount into a 90 firebird?
Where do I find engine mounts to get a sbc to mount into a 90 firebird?
I'm pulling the 2.8 out of my 90 firebird.Do I need special mounts for a sbc I pulled the motor out of a 78' K20.And I would like to keep the electric fans but probblay end up putting a 4 core radioator or one of the JEGS line one so I'm and probably have to use a longer fan assembly is there a way I can use the factory wiring to get the fans to work or due to switching to a carb motor the PCM wont be able to read the temp to turn the fans on.Thanks for the advice.

Any thirdgen with a V8 would have the right engine side of the mounts; and any parts store will have the chassis side.
No reason to ditch the electric fans. Not sure about "longer fan assembly"; never heard of such a thing, myself.
Not sure about the "4-core" radiator idea either; just a stock replacement for a 90 Firebird V8 will do fine. Basically that's all you'll be doing, is putting in a motor that's somewhat less than a stock 90 Firebird V8. No sense in wasting money on something unnecessary that does no good. Keep the money in your pocket and use it for something that actually provides you a benefit.
No necessary need to switch to a carb; instead, go to the junkyard and get the TB, computer, engine harness, and knock sensor off of any TBI 350, such as out of a 87-95 truck or a Caprice. AHELLUVALOT cheeeeeeeeper than an intake, a carb, a distributor, a fuel pressure regulator, and who knows how much hacking and destruction. If you do that, then all your existing stuff - fan, ECM, fuel system, gauges, A/C, and everything else - will just WORK. Or, post a "wanted" ad on the classifieds on this site, and get all that stuff off of some "greater fool" that's intent on hacking up his own 90ish Firebird; their loss is your gain.

look into champions 3 core aluminum radiator. Was 240 shipped i believe. I bought a fan relay temp sensor from autozone for 20 bucks, adjusted it to turn on at 190 and off at 160. Works great.

Champion radiators look nice theres some threads about them somewhere. If you do go with a Summit/Griffin/Jegs just be aware they are not a direct bolt-in like they say they are. You'll find 95% of the aftermarket direct bolt-in's don't fit without some modification. If you do switch to a carb you also will need to do some wiring mods (fuel pump relay and cooling fan relay).
If some reason you decide to go with solid motor mounts the moroso ones aren't compatiable with the OEM other side you need to get their upper and lowers.
