305to 383 swap
I'm going from a 305tpi to a 383. What do I need to do with the cars computer? Get a 5.7 one? Or get this one flashed or something somehow

you will have to get the 350 brain box. ive never had tpi but im pretty sure u can use that tpi.. larger injectors and throttle body i would imagine u will need as well though

To get it to start and run, you probably won't have to do anything with the computer. To get it to run its best, you will need to tune the computer.
Whether or not your TPI base fits depends upon what heads the 383 has. Most likely, stock TPI hardware will choke a 383 (if it doesn't choke the 383, something is seriously wrong with the 383).

Re: 305to 383 swap
You need to know what is in the 383 before doing anything to the computer. Same with injectors. Being an 87 it is a MAF sensor car. All you need to do is swap in the 383 motor with the TPI intake for now, and all the sensors, rewire it up and find a 350 TPI MAF sensor factory chip/memcal.
You will need to tune this thing with custom chip but it may run/start just fine depending on whats done to the 383. If its a wild setup with big cam/high compression and big heads, it may not run well on stock chip
If you swap injectors and try to run it on a stock chip, it likely wont run. If its a wild setup it may want 36lb injectors. TPI builds with lower hp and lower rpm range typically only need 24-30lb injectors. I'd buy 30's for room down the road unless your talking about a very mild 383 here.
If you can get a 89 350 TPI chip and dont plug in the cold start "9th" injector if you have that on your setup.
To feed a 383, its best that the base is ported out to the max and the runners be of a larger tube size like AS&M, ACCEL big tube or TPIS large tube runners. Siamesed SLP's are good too. Anything aftermarket is better than stock
