2.8 auto tranny
Hi yall, I have a 87 rs with a o.k 2.8 and squshey automatic tranny. I'd love to install a 700r4 and be able to use it when the 2.8 pukes. I know the bellhousing is different, but is the a solution short of a total swap at this time? Thank you for your help.

Re: 2.8 auto tranny
have a V8 700R4 built to what ever spec,
then use an adapter plate to mount it to the V6.
better then the other way around.

I think we are all missing something here...
If you have the factory transmission, you already HAVE a 700R4.
So, you just have to have your 700R4 built to performance specs.
