V6 STANDARD tranny for a v8??

Car: 84 camaro berlinetta
Engine: 350 bored .30 over and lots more
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: stock for now
V6 STANDARD tranny for a v8??

i got a rebuilt 350 sitting in my garage and i was told that i can use a 5 speed tranny for a v6 3rd or 4th gen camaro.. is this correct if so what do i need to change? if anything just need a good daily driver for now with some power

First, the fourth gen T5 is different from the third gen V6 T5.
Second, none of the V6 versions are strong enough
Third, the parts do exist to adapt either, but you'll spend more than just getting the correct V8 T5.
