What is to the right of the heater motor?
What is to the right of the heater motor?
Does anyone know what is mounted on the firewall to the right of the heater motor. In front of it is a silver cylinder. Are either of them a necessity if swapping to a carb engine from TPI? No interest in bells and whistles just want the car to run and drive. I'm looking to clear engine compartment of all unuseful things. Thanks

^^^ +1
Does it have 2 pipes coming from it, top and bottom? If so, the guys above me have nailed it.

The part that I am referring to is attached to the fire wall and then attached to it on the front has that silver canister that has some tubes coming off of it. Im sure the silver part of it is the evaporator core but what about the part that is attached to the firewall? And are either of them something that i would need if i am swapping over to a carb and only wanting the necessary components in the engine compartment?

No picture posted but I'm still assuming what your talking about are A/C components. If you dont plan to keep A/C then they are not necessary for your motor change.
