Im New To this so please take it easy on me.
I recently purchased a 92 rs 25th anniversary
stock 305 TBI engine Blew From Abuse (previous Owner)
HE swapped the engine For a 350TPI from 87 Camaro Im Told
but he did not want to change all the harnesses so instead of putting in the Tune port he just put the 305's TBI back on top of the 350 Block
what can i do to correct his laziness
the car runs Rich from lack of Air intake
car shakes a lot not sure why
i rigged up air temp sensor to clear check engine
additional it has a stall in it (but i Dont Like It)
needes Inner And Outer Tie Rods
and i have to keep the fan switch on in the car so fans on radiator will stay on otherwise car will overheat.

is there anything i can do other then putting tune port in it to get the missing power and still be right?

If you go and read the Sticky in the TBI section that says 305tbi to 350 tbi you will have plenty of information. At a minimum you need a 350 caprice chip or computer from a 90-92 350tbi caprice, the knock sensor, the ESC, and the correct 350 injectors. I think they are 61's.
I would also verify that it is not a truck engine, that is what the PO of my car did, and the EGR valves are different between the cars and the trucks. I believe the EGR's command is opposite for trucks. I had almost the same scenario with my car and after making these mods and replacing 2 sensors that may or may not have been bad, I went from a 14 MPG rich smelly surging bucking beast that died everywhere to a smooth 21+ MPG in mixed driving dream. I hope this helps some.
