ENGINE QUESTIONS 1994 ROADMASTER
I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED 1994 RAODMASTER 350 AND TRANNY TO INSTALL IN MY 1983 GMC PICKUP. IT DOESNT HAVE THE WIRE HARNESS.
MY QUESTION IS IS IT WORTH GETTING THE WIRING HARNESS FOR IT AND KEEP IT ELECTONIC OR WOULD IT BE BEST TO MAKE IT CARB.
2ND Q. WOULD I HAVE TO GET THE HARNESS AND COMP. TO A ROADMASTER OR WOULD AN IMPALA SS HARNESS AND COMP. WORK IN IT ASWELL.

For your installation a aftermarket standalone harness would be easier.
Saves having to gut out unwanted wires from a stock LT1 harness
Only have batt , ign and fuel pump wires to hook up to your pickup.

Elec 4l60E looks identical but has no cable hook up.
Has a elec connector on pass side that 4L60 doesn't have
(Still need to run a wire to operate the torque convertor lockup on your ) 4L60
Non elec trans LT1 standalone harness is cheaper

SINCE THE THROTTLE BODY IT HAS IS STUCK CAUSE OF THE TIME IT WAS EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS OF THE TIME THE ENGINE WAS PULLED FROM THE BUICK IT IS COMPLETELY SHOT.
WOULD IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO GET A INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THROTTLE OF A CAMARO, OR WHAT INTAKE AND THROTTLE WOULD BE A GOOD PURCHAS. JUST SO U GET AN IDEA OF WHAT IM TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH.
IM TRYING TO GET 300-350 HP ATW, I'M PLANNING TO INSTALL A NICE CAM NOTHING TO RADICAL, AND DO A LIL WORK TO THE HEADS.

As far as I am aware there is no difference in the LT1 intakes except which side the fuel rails are fed from.( the fuel rails interchange anyway ) so what ever is cheapest will work

With a cam you would need a tune for sure.I would pass on the cam.Get the heads worked on throw some LTs on it and call it a day.

I thought you said you had a LT1 if so why are you talking about TBI?

So its TBI now and you want to convert to TPI,Anything is possible but will be time and money consuming TBI is a good system and i doubt you would gain any hp if thats what you have in mind.You would need to get a whole TPI harness since it has a MAF and other newer parts.ALOT of time and whole **** load of money for no reason.Dont bother buddy.
