Transmission: Automatic (700R4)
Axle/Gears: 3.23
Where can i find an affordable 350
I am looking for a 350 for a decent price. Most I wantto spend is about 1800. Everywhere I loom its about 2000 or more. Having trouble finding a good used one. Does anyone know where I can get one, especially new (kinda like having a warrenty)

Machine shop near me charges 1800 without a core for a 87-95 long block.

You should have no problem getting a 96-2000 Vortec 350 from a larger junkyard (Like LKQ for example) for well under the price you're willing to pay.
Another possibility is to keep an eye open for a vehicle that already has that motor in it. Plenty of fleet vehicles have those, and can often be bought cheap. Pull the motor, part out the rest of the vehicle, and haul the carcass off to a scrap yard or junk yard.
