305 TPI into a 383 Stroker

What’s the best way to go about this? I’m a year out from starting the project but I have so many people saying a lot of different things. I just wanted to see what some of you think.

Here are the stats:
1987 Iroc Z 305 TPI, automatic, 157,000 miles on current motor.

Any insight will be very much appreciated… Thanks!

You'll either need to buy a 383 pre built or a 350 block and start collecting parts while you get the machine work done...

That's the options I've heard the most. It looks like either a 383 crate or a 350 with a modified cam and some other work.

On that note...I'm looking for a reasonably priced 383 crate. Any adivce?

Spend your money once by spending enough to get one put together right.
