1986 Camaro Restoration and Engine Swap
Need some help with an engine swap. 1986 camaro with a V6, 2.8L TBI, and I am swapping the V6 for a V8, 1991, 5.0L TPI. Need some expertise on matching the 91 engine wire harness with the 1986 vehicle. See attached word doc.

Re: 1986 Camaro Restoration and Engine Swap
the 6 pin i can explain from experience. the blue and green wires are for the reverse light switch for a manual trans application. the pink and pink/blk stripe are the fused 12 volt wires to the injectors labeled in the fuse panel usually as INJ1 and INJ2 (i think..) tan/wht cant remember right now. the important ones are the injector wires. now one problem i can see arising is the fact that the 91 has VATS. have you had it programmed out of the memcal? i would have to look at a 91 harness that i have sittin around to get a feel for it all again. (i swapped it into an 88 gta once upon a time. then got rid of the car and got the harness back) they may have taken both connectors and put all wires thru one connector.
