Trying to help a friend fit a 04 LS6 with 6 speed in a 87 Iroc and its not really working out. We just can clear the oversize CTS-V oil pan over the crossmember. We have removed EVERYTHING off the firewall but have had no luck. He wants to drop the pan and install the engine and reinstall the pan. I thought that was a little crazy but Im an old GTO guy that just plays with Pontiac engines. All this LS stuff is foreign to me.

So any body have any thought on the best way to do this. Thanks

 

Well removing the oil pan didnt help lol. I told him to junk the iroc and buy a Pontiac with Pontiac power. GRRRRRRR

That or buy a k member from spohn.

Oh helpfull one...have faith in the force of determination, patience, resourcefullness and fortitude...and don't forget about all of the times that Pontiac threw you curve *****. That you spent hours' fixing...lmao.

P.S. No front sump edge of a oil pan is gonna stop me from this conversion...ha ha ha!!!!
