ECM

My brother swapped his 305 TPI engine on an 87 iroc to a 350 TPI out of 89 iroc. Does he also have to put the ECM from the 89 iroc into the 87 iroc. Or will the 305 ECM work on the 350?

Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89

Doesn't "have" to. But, '87 has the 9th (cold start) injector, '89 doesn't. 350 tuning a little different from 305 tuning.
