305TPI to 350 TPI swap - Engine choices
I've read through a lot of the posts regarding engine swaps. Got a lot of great advice on here. I still have a few questions, mainly about what engine to buy.
I have a 1987 IROC with a 305 TPI. The engine is kaput. I'd like to keep the TPI and get a 350, long block I guess. The car will be a "for fun" car. Not driven daily, doesn't have to be super fast just respectable. I have other cars so it being out of commision for awhile is ok. I won't be doing the work myself, my mechanic will. I'd like to spend under $2500 for the motor (not inlcuding installation) but would consider spending more if it makes sense.
Can just about any 350 be used for this purpose or does it need to be one specific to a TPI setup?
This one has been recommended by a few people

are there other choices that I should be considering?
Also i believe the following needs to be done: replace 19lb injectors with 22lb, new knock sensor, 350 PROM or have mine re-done, new ESC Module.
Am I leaving anything out?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Watch out for the later vortec motors, the heads are better, but the intake its vortec specific. So you'll need to get the baseplate for those heads.
