305 to 355 transition
I am going to be purchasing a new Engine from summit racing. Has anyone switched to the 355 in their 3rd gen? Will the TPI system bolt on as well? I am wanting to know if it will bolt right into my 91 Z28 as a clean swap (as opposed to the LS1 engines). I am just purchasing the short block, and I will put the add on's as time and money allows. I just want to make sure I am getting a block that will fit in once complete.

Short block assemblies don't include heads. Post up a link to what you're considering buying.

Re: 305 to 355 transition
If those are the heads you are wanting to buy your lower intake won't directly bolt up. The 2 intake bolts in the middle of each head are angled differently than your current heads on your 91 plus your valve covers won't works either. These are the old style heads that have the perimeter bolt valve covers. 85-86 TPI base will bolt to them, but idk if you'll have to change anything else going to the older base. Maybe somebody else will know exactly.

Re: 305 to 355 transition
I was scared to advise him to start slotting holes lol. I have seen intakes screwed up from people not doing it right. I've got an old intake here at home that somebody attempted that and it didn't go well.

Corvette base from any year tpi will bolt up or get a HSR (Holley Stealth Ram) or any aftermarket EFI intake.

Here is a pic of what was done on mine when I got it. The original 85 manifold on a new 87 L98 engine. Click on the link below
