305 to 350 :)
Thinking about swapping my 305 H.O. to a 350 out of a 89 + silverado from pick n pull I have my eyes on a 1996 Silverado with a classic 350 in there. I'd like to buy the motor this weekend and perform the swap boogie, Carb'd engine and all. Do you guys think its a good idea? I have currently headers and a true dual 3" exhaust system currently and electronic fan.

vortec 350? if you do in fact come across a 5.7l vortec i would recommend taking those heads to get checked as they are prone to cracking between valve seats, if and i do mean if they are not cracked then yes do the swap, that is a healthy engine, they make great power and edelbrock and a few other companies make vortec specific intake manifolds for carb applications.
