Looking into the Lunati 224/232 .544 122 is this small base?
Lpe has 211/219 .530 .560 Heard these are small base with Lingenfelter heard they were also good cams.

Im needing a small base camshaft for 383ci hyd roller clearance standard 400 crank an 6" rods.
Heard you can go large as 226/232 .580 lift smog legal. Is that a custom grind?

I currently have a zz4 208/221 .510 and Im really running like there is no cam as I heard people explain it that way.

I dont want to have to do this, I heard with the small base cam you dont have to clearance. I have a Vortec hyd. 4 bolt main block.


The .580 sounds nice but I want to be under the limits.
