Wiring a 350 with a 6-71
I have a 1979 350 motor that has been completely rebuilt and now has a weiand 6-71 blower on top. I now have the engine installed in my 1983 firebird which was originally a v6 car. I am now trying to figure out the wiring. Can anybody help me out with wiring this engine in that car?

Find the harness that comes out of the pass side fender well, near the blower motor, over the shock tower.
Carefully and LOVINLGY and gently disconnect EVERY SINGLE ONE of those wires; peel them all back CAREFULLY, and bundle them up, because you no longer need any of them. Leave EVERY OTHER WIRE COMPLETELY ALONE and hook it back up where it goes.
That's it. Piece o cake.

The only wires that you will need that come out the passenger side are for the heater and A/C if still using this and the electric fans. All the rest of the wires don't apply for your setup any more.

The HVAC wires aren't in the "pass side" harness in question; they're in their own little sub-harness, comes through the firewall right close to the heater core. Not related to the harness that comes out of the pass side fender well and passes over the pass side shock tower. Not hard to keep em separate.

Here you go. The 83 harness should be relatively easy to split without any major surgery, but thats a basic guide. In a nut shell you ID power and gauges, then cut everything else out
Pinouts can be found in here. Early info is scarce, so clump 82-84 stuff together, its very similar
