3970010 block stamped V0907TJA

Hey guys I am working on a block and it is a 3970010 block however it is also stamped V0907TJA. Now I have tried using google to search what it means and can not figure it out. Does any of you guys know what this number means?

the block number is the casting id, the other number/letters you listed are the suffix from the vehicle the engine was originally installed.

0907= September 7th
TJA=1973 350, Conv. Cab, 160HP 4Bolt, C-20 to 3500 or
1979 350 FRWD. Cab, AT L LS9 (Vin), 165 HP 4 Bolt, C30 & 3500

Thats a Great block..... It was used for 3 diffrent Engine sizes. the 307,327,350. I have the same Engine... It was originally a 350.. But I went through rebuilt it with a large journal 327 Crank... With todays Engines though... Its really not what it used to be. I wont do anymore old SBC engines......... Its not worth it anymore with the technology and better running motors we have today...........

Get the block decked for squareness and it's just another 010 casting 4" bore block. Decking the block will remove all those stamped in numbers.
