350 options
350 options
Hello All, I just picked up a 87 z 5 speed. I plan to remove the 305 and build a mild 350. i have tried to soak up as much info as i can on what to build. my goal is a good street motor, and i hope to reach 400hp. for that goal, my thoughts are as follows: 350 tpi motor, stealth ram and mild head work and a comp ratio around 10:1. as for cam i was thinking lt4 hot cam.
for the cam i am torn though, i would like a nice lumpy cam but not so wild that its not really driveable. if anyone has other suggestions please chime in.
as for the 350 mill, other that a corvette or camaro, is there any other donors that would be roller i could use? thanks in advance.

Do a search ;
"lumpy "( long duration ) cams and EFI computers don't go together
All things being equal a 350 is a 350 .
It is the parts you use on it ; heads , cam ,intake , etc that make it what it is ; not what it was or what it came out of
