91 Z28 Cluster/electrical issues
Have a 91 Z28 that I did the LSX/six speed swap. Car is finished except now my cluster does not seem to function properly. The temp and volt gauges work (appear to be anyway) but oil pressure, fuel gauge and tach do not seem to be working correctly. The fuel gauge will go way past empty and when I fill up it only goes to a little over a 1/4 of a tank. Oil pressure stays around 15 or less. Speedo works until I turn on headlights and that kills the speedo, tach, oil pressure and fuel. Also there is one bulb that is not working and it's the one behind the oil pressure and fuel level. Took out cluster and cleaned all the contacts. checked ground on headlight harness. What next? Has anyone ever had anything like this happen or have a clue as to what it might be? Oh, and had the cluster reworked by GM, good as new, at least that is what they told me.

Re: 91 Z28 Cluster/electrical issues
Update. Lol. I changed the steering column last night and now I have a different set of bugs running around. Speedo is sparatic, still quits working when lights are turned on but the bulb behind the oil pressure and fuel level gauges work when you turn the ignition on, but then go out when you turn lights on. HELP!!!!!!!! Lol
