Hey guys, I tried researching into carb to tbi and couldn't find what I want exactly. Simply put I have a fresh rebuilt zz4 crate motor as carb'd that was for my 85' but I'm pulling the string because my 91 rs is such in better shape overall. I've seen that you change the intakes, but like I said earlier the engine has been rebuilt so isn't there a adapter of some sort I could go along to? Also I wanna use my 91 stock 305 wiring stuff tbi on the 350 motor I have, will it be a simple swap? I'm not too savy with wiring stuff, but I can easily find my way around with carb.

But I think you'll need to get into tuning to get it to run right.

why not just keep it carb'd? It's less labor intensive to tuck some wires away than to swap out your intake and go through all that mess.

 

Thanks, looks like some reading for me to do. Now does that adapter plate bypass me having to swap intakes?

 

Yes I was going that route, but this is my daily and I've heard something about not having to swap intakes. I'm so used to carb yet wanna learn more about fuel injection and I don't like to hack too much on my 91' as well.

Not too expensive, and you tune it by driving it, and it monitors your o2 sensor and suggests new fuel maps to bring you closer to a proper mixture. I don't have one yet, but it's on list of things to buy.
