need help with motor swap info
i have a 1991 z28 305 tpi 5 speed manual. when i got it i didnt think the body was all too bad but 6 months later i have found that the frame is even shot. so. id like to swap my motor/trans into another 3rd gen camaro roller. what years are compatible with my set up? things to consider with electronics? thanks in advance👍

Re: need help with motor swap info
Your setup will "fit" any third gen (82 - 92). The 91 is "completely compatible" with a 92 as those years are speed density and use the 730 ecu. If you get the ecu and harness with the "roller", you can transplant your setup into any 86 - 90 with a few simple modifications. You could choose to re-pin your harness to speed density and use your ecu or swap your harness and ecu into the "roller" to have speed density or if the "roller" comes with a MAF setup (ecu and harness) included you could use the existing scheme and acquire a MAF sensor and convert to MAF. Pre 86 didn't have TPI and would require the most modification unless you convert to carb requiring you to purchase a manifold, carb and vacuum advance HEI distributor. This is just a generalization, there are many threads on these different swaps and a search will bring up a wealth of info to help you make a decision. HTH!
