Inrease my power please!!!!!!!
Guys ,help me out here,
Ive got an 1985 5.0 tpi Transam and ive done just about everything to the 5.0 and i feel its time to step up the power a bit more.
What are your thoughts,should I,
1) strap on a supercharger
2) change the 5 for a 5.7 but use all the 5.0tpi bits
3)chuck it all away and buy a ZZ4 and TPI set up to siut it
I dont race it and a lot of my miles are done on a motorway(freeway to you lot).
Just i'd like a bit more acceleration when needed plus increased top cruising speed when travelling in europe with no speed limits.
it has to be totally reliable as well
What do you think??

The ZZ4 is a good but somewhat expensive change. You'll want to do TPI stuff that increases the upper RPM range and overall flow.
The '85 TPI wasn't all that good of a system. Converting to a later system would be a good idea. I don't think the '85 system would be too happy with either a 5.7 or a supercharger, but the power-adder and/or TPI guys may be able to help more along that line.
If you haven't done anything to the exhaust yet, that is a must. Assuming the system you got is similar to what we've got, that is.

Take everything you have on your 305 and bolt it on a 400
then port the sportsman heads.
then port the sportsman heads.

Gears !!! I did not see what type of gears that you have, but if you have 2.73, swap to 3.42 for TPI or 3.73 for LT1/LT4. that was by best mod by far.
