Big Block Formula build.
I have a 87 formula that I took out the 305 tpi and was gonna put in a 383 stroker but then I realized lets make this swap worth it and put my LS6 in it. I don't need to change the front shocks. I was already gonna put frame connectors on it but should I put inner connectors in to. I was looking at the UMI connectors. The ol 700r4 won't put up with that kind of engine so I was gonna put my TH400 in it but what will I have to do to make this transmission work. I'm not worried about having a speedometer because I have the gps. The ECM wioll not be connected the LS6 will be fully manual. What else should I do to make the car handle the power because I don't want the t-tops flying out.

Re: Big Block Formula build.
A 700r4 can take the power, if built correctly and it would be a bit more fun to play with.
I like my outer subframes, not a fan of my inners. .
may want to look into better brakes if you haven't already.

Re: Big Block Formula build.
Thanks. How do I get the engine mounts out. I got the one bottom bolt out but can't figure out the two top ones. I know if it was put in, there is a way to get it out but its weird. I bought solid engine mounts. The wiring harness is confusing me I took all the wiring off the ecm and now all that's left is the hose coming out of the drivers side firewall and the wiring coming out for the speedometer and stuff on the passenger side. I want the car to be no wiring at all except for starter and ignition of coarse but I got rid of most of everything but just some stuff I need a bit of help with. -Thanks

Re: Big Block Formula build.
Well I guess a Chevy 408 is an LS1 but what headers will be the right fit. The motor is a 396 bored 60 over to clear up any confusion that might happen
-Thanks-

Re: Big Block Formula build.
I would also like long tube headers.
