Swap to a 307 or keep the 305

Okay kind of in a dilemma on deciding on what to do. I bought an 84 Z28 has a strong 305 motor in it unknown amount of miles. The car also came with another engine. It's a 307 bored to 350. Pull the oil pan everything's nice and clean. It has 350 crank in it, 350 connecting rods , new stock 350 Pistons, Edelbrock 7201 cam, double roller timing chain, elderbrock lifters, and freshly rebuilt 882 heads 307 only has about a thousand miles on it.
I understand for the 307 to be a 350 it has to be bored to .125 thousands. And yes I have read and researched and from what I understand the 307 can handle a .125 but that maxes out any future machine work unless you sleeve the cylinders. I'm getting all this out of the way because I know somebody's going to say something about it.
My dilemma is do I stick with the 305 and sell the 307, or do I install the 307 and go with it. My only downfall of the 305 is I don't know how many miles are on it.

Re: What to do....Hmmmm

Also the 305 that's in the Camaro has nothing special besides elderbrock intake and Holley carb.

Well, you could put the "350" in and tell everyone it is a 307.

If the 305 already in there runs correct leave it alone.

lmao I don't know why anyone would take a 307 and bore it to the max to make it a 350. But the engine came with the car. I'm thinking of pulling the cam all the Chrome and other parts and just selling the rest of the 307 that's left heads block and internals.

the 305 doesn't smoke and has no taps, rattles, knocks, and it has good oil pressure. timing cover seal does leak a bit.
