Type in a search engine "S-10 V8 Conversion Kit" and things like that. You'll find plenty of info and there are a few kits out there just for that. It's not a new idea by any means. I know Summit sells a bolt in radiator just for that conversion as well as headers. I'm sure others sell them as well.

I wouldn't even talk to Jags That Run if it was the only way to save my life.

Advanced Adapters has all of the parts you need for the swap and they're a few people here that can answer most of your questions. What is it you need help with?

V8AstroCaptain, I've seen your van in your sig a number of times and have always wondered if you've ever taken it to the track? That would be so funny to see a van runnin' the quarter.

If your S-10 has a 2.8L V6 you will need to get a different tranny. It won't bolt up.

I was at Atlanta Dragway for a mustang event with my friend, and they had an excursion on the stip that ran in the mid 15s . That could beat a lot of LG4s here on the board. Good thing I just got rid of mine

That wasnt a dodge caravan, that was a mitsubishi minivan with a custom turbo setup (turbos from an esclipse G20's i believe) on a 4 cyl pushing like 27 pounds of boost (front wheel drive too!!!). But anyway, as far as the S10 swap, the main parts you need are the custom motormounts, custom headers, shortened driveshaft, and the entire drivetrain/tranny from the donor car would work the best. It also helps to convert the engine to carb and loose the computer completely .. it just complicates things. If you need detailed info I would recommend asking the people @ www.sportruck.com for sites with detailed v8 swaps into pre 94 S10's. Good luck!! There is a guy on there with a 94 reg cab with a 350 and NOS running low 11's with bad traction problems.

If you use the advanced adapters mounts you don't have to shorten the driveshaft, but you still need a custom oilpan with either kit IIRC.
