Body harness prep

Hey guys somewhat new here I have a 89 iroc z that I am doing a 5.3 swap on and eventually throwing a procharger on it, anyways I'm wanting to find out what wires I needs to keep on the engine and of I can cut any of the wires out of the body? Thanks in advance

The main thing to remember is when you are cutting wires from the C100, leave a few inches just in case.

Screw that, just take them out of the cavity, no cutting needed. Remove the lock, push the lock tab and withdraw. Easy

Thats seems like a lot of work. When I did my swap, I initially planned on doing the swap harness connections under the dash since the swap harness placed them there. I found it a lot easier to run the wires back through the firewall and connect to the short wires in the engine compartment. If I would have removed the wires from the connector, it would have been a pain. I had cut them about 6" from the C100 and taped them to the remaining wires going to the headlights. All I had to do is untape and reconnect.

It literally takes seconds to remove them from the connector, then you have nice long wires if you need later.
