Engine calculator

Engine calculator
Hello,
I hope there is a program to show how an engine will run on the cam specs entered; all I have found is one that shows the cams specs like the photo:
I think I saw one that you inter all your engine specs and it would project how the engine would perform.
I am looking for one that will calculate the power curves, showing the torque curve and horse power curve at projected RPM.
Thanks.
Rich

Re: Engine calculator
Believe what you may be looking for is Desktop Dyno perhaps. It’s exactly as you describe but me personally I take the figures with a grain of salt. So many variables when building an engine that only true way to know what the engine is producing power wise is to dyno and built or in car. Those results won’t lie

Thanks, I will see if I can find a copy.
I agree the real proof of any thing is one it is done and tested.
But as I am putting together such a non standard engine even a good guess will be a help.

Re: Engine calculator
Those programs are rarely accurate, in the sense that you can enter a parts list and the result matches the real world in terms of the raw numbers. Which is less the fault of the program itself, and more that there are other factors that are impossible to take into account. Just like however many people have bought the "435 HP" Edelbrock RPM "kit" and got 275 HP or the like out of it; the parts list doesn't tell ANYWHERE NEAR the whole story.
What they are good for though, is evaluating the effects of changes. If the simulator says that one cam moves the power band up or down compared to another for example, that kind of info is much more trustworthy.

Re: Engine calculator
Some are better than others but you will pay for it. And its garbage in garbage out. If you dont have super accurate measurements and details of your engine parameters, it will be off. But when its on some are pretty darn close and will match real world results
engine analyzer pro is decent. But its 500+$

I have Desktop Dyno 2000 and DD 2003. I would send them to you in an email, but they get blocked now, even if you change the extension. If you can figure another way to fool the browser and GMail or Yahoo Mail, let me know.

Re: Engine calculator
I believe I have tried that before, but I will give it a shot again.
Maybe if I change the extension, and then ZIP or RAR the files.

Re: Engine calculator
First, I changed the exe extension to jpg. Then I zipped the file. UnZIP and change the extensions back.

Re: Engine calculator
Thanks I was able to get it and to change back to a exe, but it wants a dll, and when I got it it still will not run. What Windows are you running it on?
Please try 2003 DD and just rar it I have found censors cannot read inside a rar.
