new engine time!!
I just found water in my oil of my TPI 305.
I figure t's a good time to put in some thing bigger. I have $3.5k to spend. I have a late model truck block(89 i think) with roller embosses in the lifter valley. I have my "water in the oil" 305 tpi.
I want a street/strip forged stroker with al heads that I can use my NOS on.
I haven't built a motor for myself in 15 years just some quick weekend dirt track enduro and street stock racing motors from used parts.
What will work from my 305 that I can use again in the strokers motor?
Has anybody had any experience with stroking a motor at home?
How do you go about the process of grinding the block to accept the larger crank? Is there a template or do you just lay it in the journal and start grindin till it rotates?
I want to do as much as I can at home. Can I do this with $3.5k?
Comments?
