Racetronix fuel pump

I'm going LS reallly soon in my 92 and just wanted to know if I my 305tbi will still run with the racetronix upgraded fuel pump for the LS swap, wanted to do it before hand since it's my daily and want to cut on down time.

Re: Racetronix fuel pump

The 255 L/hr model will support about 550 Hp with a 'hot wire' kit. The old and new engine operate at different fuel pressure so you'll need to change fuel regulator with the LS swap.

Re: Racetronix fuel pump

I installed the Racetronix kit on my 92 camaro when swapping from L98 to LS3. Was easy to hook up. They give you extra length of wire from front to rear of car. I just coiled up excess and zip tied it near the stock fuel filter by rear end. LS engines need 58-60 psi of fuel pressure. For this I also installed Walbro 255 in tank as QwkTrip mentions. You will need new pressure regulator and hose connections. I went easy way and bought below kit from Hawks. You can build one yourself. Many people use C5 (I think) fuel filter since has built pressure regulator and mount by driver strut tower (same location as where you place Hawks). If you will be making more than 550 HP, will need bigger fuel pump. Check size of your fuel lines too but if similar as TPI cars, will also support around 550 hp.

Also, what LS swap are you planning?
